Hey Beauties!
So, I wanted to start something new on this platform where I can highlight different ways that we can partake in taking care of ourselves. There is so much going on in our country right now and I’ve mentioned before on social media that I have really been focused on maintaining as much peace, as possible. In an effort to #AmplifyBlackVoices, I wanted to share a new app that I found! The Shine App was created by co-founders, Naomi Hirabayashi and Marah Lidey, who were driven by their desire to “reinvent health and wellness Millennials through messaging technology”. I, personally, was attracted to this app when I found out that I could utilize a meditation app and hear voices that sound like mine. Since I have started using this app, I have found a new way to start each of my days and I have been able to focus on re-centering myself and de-stressing. I also like that there is a new nighttime routine for me that includes unwinding my mind instead of just aimlessly surfing the web until I can’t keep my eyes open.
